So...this is the first post in two years. I don't expect anyone to read this, because the site is so covered up in cobwebs that we don't really even get any hits these days. Here's the rundown since 2007:

The band Headbox has peacefully disbanded. This was mainly the result of all of us, initially, living and going to school in different cities. Ryan stayed in Milwaukee and went to UWM. Kurt went to Whitewater and began his college life at UW-Whitewater. I (evan) went to Madison to begin my college life at UW-Madison. After a semester at UWM, Ryan decided to change directions. He is now attending Madison Media Institute. He and I currently live in a house on the eastside of Madison with our good friend Andy Anderson. We have started a new band called Follow Freeman in which Andy plays drums, I play guitar, and Ryan also plays guitar. We our in the process of writing as well as attempting to find a bassist. We fully expect to play out this summer.

This next part is more of a checklist for me, but you can read it if you like.

- acquire domain for Follow Freeman
- design new, cleaner, better maintained website
- seek out a decently written guestbook that will not become overrun with spam
- post frequently

Dear headBox fans: everyday, headbox members get many, many spam e-mails. Today I had 1172. Because of this, a new mailing link implementation has been put in place in order to confuse spam bots. It should create no difference in the user experience, but if it does, be sure to e-mail the webmaster. Here's to a fresh beginning and a moderately spam-free 2007.

If you've been checking out the website lately, you'll probably notice that there are a few changes. As of now, the website is compliant with Internet Explorer 7 Beta as well as Firefox 2. Not only that, but all spam guestbook messages have been deleted and two new methods of spam blocking have been put in place. And as if that wasn't enough, a hidden feature has been added for band members so that we can add and remove shows from the site quicky and easily. Yes, we are finally practicing with Kurt again, and it is indeed a breath of fresh air (sorry Andi). We are currently looking for/setting up shows with other bands. We are also contemplating sending an unreleased song (Brian Is A Woman) to one or two record companies to see what they think. To add to the confusion, we are purchasing two new SM58 microphones so we can get better recording quality and maybe even start hosting our own shows. All is not quiet on the headBox front. Don't touch that dial!

Wow. I don't mean to sound like a jerk hole, but writing songs is easy, haha. I just finished yet another new song that will most likely make it to the CD. This one is the best one yet and has a story so crazy I don't even quite know what it's about. Stay tuned for more news about the new CD.
